(with extra ketchup & jalapeño mustard)
This is not a slow burger.
It’s a fast, satisfying, hands-messy kind of meal—the one you make when you want something real without turning cooking into a project.
Seven minutes.
Two napkins.
Done.
Ingredients (1 burger)
- 1 beef burger patty (fresh or frozen)
- 1 hamburger bun
- Ketchup, to taste (generous)
- Jalapeño mustard, to taste
- Butter or oil (optional, for the pan)
- Salt and pepper (optional)
Instructions
Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat.
Add the burger patty directly to the hot surface.
Cook about 3–4 minutes per side, depending on thickness and doneness preference.
Lightly toast the bun in the same pan or separately (optional but recommended).
Assemble:
Bottom bun
Burger patty
Extra ketchup
Jalapeño mustard
Top bun
Serve immediately.
Notes
No toppings required. This burger stands on sauce and speed. Jalapeño mustard adds heat and acidity—don’t be shy. Two napkins are optimistic. Have a third nearby.
Serving idea
Eat it hot, standing if necessary,
with zero distractions
and no apologies.
